Statistical Reporting Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is working with an insurance firm in search of a Statistical Reporting Analyst to join their team! This position is full time, direct hire and on-site 1-day a week in Manhattan. This position is responsible for monitoring and completing various statistical filings and aspects of regulatory compliance.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Run detailed quarterly premium and loss statistical data through error checks, correct errors, and submit data to ISO
  • Research errors and statistical plans and work with programmers to implement recurring corrections
  • Annually, reconcile data in aggregate by state and by line of business to the Annual Statement
  • Prepare and submit other miscellaneous annual ISO data calls
  • Contact claims examiners and payees regarding checks that have been outstanding for more than one year and request checks to be reissued or voided
  • For checks outstanding over the state-specific dormancy periods, perform required due diligence, submit Abandoned Property filings and remit funds to each state per the required schedules
  • Renew broker licenses
  • Submit state corporation filings to maintain registration
  • Prepare and file state corporate income tax returns, and any applicable surplus lines premium tax returns
  • Compile WC premium and loss data by policy year and accident year per rules of NCCI and the respective state WC rating bureaus
  • Ensure data in aggregate agree with the Annual Statement
  • Prepare and submit annual financial data calls
  • Review Sliding Scale dividend calculations
  • Print WINS and Freedom checks
  • Prepare data calls (e.g., TRIA, catastrophe)
  • Handle tax compliance for personal usage of company cars
  • Prepare footnotes other than tax for statutory annual statements


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 required
  • Proficiency with advanced Excel functions, such as formulas and VLOOKUP; Knowledge of VBA, Access and Python preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze information
  • Organizational and time management skills the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Experience in the insurance industry preferred


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
