The VP, Data and Execution, Danaher Diagnostics, will have 2 main responsibilities:

Build a central group for Data Sciences and AI aiming to integrate solutions into core workflows of the platform establishing efficiency, R&D acceleration as well as value creation for operating companies across lifecycle of discovery, development and launch; and
- Overseeing the buildup of executional excellence of the platform group, thereby focusing on establishment of core governance and communication platforms of L1, cocreating and overseeing the groups executional roadmap, as well as Clinical research teams and process excellence for Research review, budget prioritization as well as tracking of KPIs
Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), Danaher Diagnostics, this position will be fully remote.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Data:
- Oversee the buildup of a Data competence at platform connecting with DXLT and presidents of operating companies understanding operating models, needs, maturity of data use

Acts as an effective advocate and catalyst for driving data-driven value across the biomarker innovation value chain by collaborative engagement with internal Danaher stakeholders including Senior Leadership, CSOs, medical affairs, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, HEOR and Market Access and marketing.
- Expert recommending and catalyzing organizational transformation using automation, Data and AI in different use cases, from discovery to development and commercialization.
- Governance and establishing community of practice of Data initiatives across the platform and operating companies elevating agility, establishing organizational learning and suggesting efficient end to end solutions.

Ability to decide which business process can benefit from data and digital across Danaher Diagnostics OpCos and functional matrix (e.g. HEOR, clinical affairs)

Build out and operate a data team, that delivers solutions to the Danaher Diagnostics OpCos for data research, data engineering, and clinical investigations; ensure proper change management throughout the process while building organizational talent with stamina and resilience to start-up and sustain the data capabilities. Also, represent Danaher Dx in different data forums.
- Understand needs as well as resources available at operating companies to connect experts, define vison and priorities and execute in tandem with existing businesses.
Execution:
- Act as Chief of Staff to the CIO managing the ambition roadmap as well as L1 exchange choreography in close partnership with the CIO.
- Build and oversee an executional excellence roadmap in close partnership with the VP of Process excellence and Operations reporting to this role

Establish clinical research review for a community of clinical science and external partnership exchange of the core medical and R&D group
- Oversee finance and build a robust controlling oversight in partnership with Finance aligned with cost center structure and group specific budgets
- Lead the SIR/GIR portfolio prioritization exercises with help of internal forecasting
- Help establish more robust oversight on external Research collaborations incl their prioritization
The essential requirements of the job include:

Advanced degree(s) (Ph.D. and/or MD) (in mathematics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science or other quantitative discipline) OR demonstrated "multi-linguality" in industry setting of translating data/AI insights into proven diagnostics products for biological detection

Track record of general management and operational execution with larger teams, ideally with P&L responsibility and cross functional work.

Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in data strategy, analytics, and digital transformation within enterprise environments, with a proven track record of driving interdisciplinary data-centric innovations in MedTech, Biopharma, Diagnostics, or Life Sciences industries
- Industry knowledge "breadth" of data types, data management technologies, platforms, and practices, with experience in cloud-based data ecosystems and services in the clinical data domain; must possess expert ability to code in at least one popular programming language (e.g., Python) and "go deep" with the data team when necessary

Experience with data visualization, machine learning, and other advanced AI/ML analytic techniques, AI augmented/powered biomarker R&D/innovation platforms. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data governance and privacy standards applicable to healthcare and medical device industries.

Executive presence and strategic mindset that sets an aggressive but credible vision, organizational savvy to navigate and manage ambiguous and complex scenarios, deep technical knowledge of existing and emerging data and AI technologies and ability to orchestrate and marshal resources (people, business relationships, funding, and vendors) to build capabilities leveraging these technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences, and the ability to combine and apply technical and business knowledge to make balanced decisions
- 30% Travel Required

The salary range for this role is $275,000 to $325,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
