Vice President, Mergers and Acquisition Integration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the global M&A integration strategy, ensuring alignment with Vertiv's long-term growth objectives. Lead strategic planning for integration, and provide executive-level oversight across the entire integration lifecycle from pre-acquisition to post-closing.
  • Executive Engagement: Serve as a key advisor to the CEO, Board, and other C-suite executives on M&A integration strategies, progress, and risks. Effectively communicate integration outcomes, challenges, and value drivers to senior leadership, ensuring alignment and driving organizational buy-in.
  • Organizational Alignment & Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives across all functions involved in integration, ensuring effective communication and alignment across the business. Lead senior leaders across global, regional, and functional teams to mobilize resources, execute integration plans, and deliver on integration goals.
  • Operational Excellence & Governance: Establish and enforce a robust governance framework for integration, ensuring that all integration activities are managed according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide oversight on key milestones, KPIs, and risks, proactively addressing obstacles to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Business Acceleration: Ensure the accelerated ramp-up of newly acquired products and services, leveraging Vertiv's global sales, product development, manufacturing, and supply chain functions to maximize value post-acquisition. Oversee the integration of critical business functions such as HR, IT, legal, finance, and marketing into Vertiv's global operating model.
  • P&L Management: Oversee the financial integration of the acquired business, ensuring effective management of P&L and ROI objectives. Develop comprehensive post-integration plans that capture synergies, optimize cost structures, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Cultural Integration: Guide and support cultural integration strategies, ensuring that newly acquired companies are aligned with Vertiv's values, culture, and operating principles. Lead the development of change management and talent retention strategies to maintain morale and high performance during the integration phase.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing, global team of integration professionals. Ensure that key stakeholders across product, commercial, finance, HR, IT, and operations are effectively engaged and driving toward shared integration objectives.
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
  • Strategic Vision: Deep expertise in the formulation and execution of complex M&A integration strategies that align with corporate vision and long-term objectives. Ability to anticipate industry trends, technological disruptions, and regulatory changes to craft forward-looking integration plans.
  • Executive Communication: Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex integration strategies and outcomes to senior leadership, including the CEO, Board, and external stakeholders. Ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment in a matrixed global organization.
  • Results-Driven: Proven track record of delivering measurable results in large-scale M&A integration and transformation initiatives. Strong ability to track and report on key metrics and KPIs, ensuring that integration activities drive business performance and profitability.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a strong focus on M&A integration, strategic planning, and business transformation. Experience managing large-scale cross-functional teams and P&L oversight in complex industrial or technology organizations is highly preferred.
  • Leadership & People Management: Experience leading and mentoring senior managers and teams across multiple geographies and functions. Ability to cultivate a high-performance culture and effectively manage diverse, cross-functional teams through complex integration processes.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, operational efficiencies, business scaling, and financial modeling as it pertains to post-acquisition value creation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Position Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, as required.
