We are looking for current Underwriters with 3+ years' experience to join our team! Opportunities available in our Columbia, MO and Lenexa, KS offices.

As an Underwriter, you will demonstrate proficiency and be a fully authorized Conventional, FHA and/or USDA credit and collateral Underwriter

Depending on successful completion of various training modules and testing, this position will have the authority to underwrite some or all of the following loan criteria:

• AUS supported (Approve/Eligible or Manual/Refer)
  
• Loan Amount up to $1.5 million
  
• Credit and Collateral Review
  
• Be proficient in all income types
  
• Non-VA Products (FHA, USDA, Conventional, Bond, etc.)
  

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately complete all required tasks associated with both the processing and underwriting aspects of assigned loan files.
  
• Ensure accuracy of documents, data and appropriate decision per guidelines, including timely correction of investor delivery violations and compliance reviews and audit requests.
  
• Identify and recommend alternative loan structures for viable financing solutions.
  
• Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines/processes, participating in ongoing education as applicable.
  
• Work files sent back from closing and make changes as needed.
  
• Communicate feedback on common mistakes and "want" conditions to build a stronger team.
  
• Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.
