Transfer and Articulation Services CoordinatorDescription/Job Summary

The Transfer and Articulation Coordinator reports to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Engagement and Partnerships, develops knowledge of BCCC's curriculum, coordinates articulation agreements, degree pathways, and facilitates compliance with Code of Maryland Regulations and Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) policies. The Coordinator, in collaboration with Student Affairs, supports BCCC's efforts to increase student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and transfer opportunities. Responsible for maintaining the Articulation System for Maryland Colleges and University (ARTSYS). This position represents BCCC at recruiting and transfer events and requires the ability to effectively engage students, staff, faculty, parents, and community partners.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Coordinate daily operations for transfer and articulation office.
  • Initiate, develop, and update strategic articulation and pathway agreements between BCCC and partnering institutions.
  • Keep abreast of curricular changes and potential impact on existing articulation agreements.
  • Serve as an internal and external resource on articulation agreements.
  • Coordinate collaborations between BCCC representatives and appropriate counterparts at partner institutions to develop and maintain articulation agreements.
  • Maintain knowledge of all BCCC academic programs.
  • Coordinate with academic units on transfer course equivalencies.
  • Engage with enrollment management, admission, and other student services.
  • Conduct annual review of existing articulation agreements in collaboration with BCCC and partner institution representatives to ensure curricular alignment.
  • Utilize Institutional Research data and resources such as IPEDS to identify transfer pathways.
  • Oversee the collection, maintenance, and analysis of transfer data and records.
  • Compile data for MHEC Annual Transfer Report
  • Participate in affinity group meetings and attend seminars.
  • Update and maintain BCCC transfer guide.
  • Maintain the transfer and articulation webpages.
  • Utilize computer software to organize and maintain resources and related data.
  • Develop and implement database applications, spreadsheets, document templates and other technology solutions to automate and streamline processes.
  • Manage statistical data for reports.
  • Maintain and update programs and courses in ARTSYS.
  • Remain current with COMAR, MHEC, and other policies and regulations.
  • Serve as BCCC's Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) representative and PTK mentor.
  • Ensure PTK students are engaged and maintain active membership with the national organization.
  • Work directly with PTK students to ensure that transfer options and scholarships are made available as appropriate.
  • Prepare transfer services and articulation materials for publications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of related experience in admission, transfer, or student services within a college setting.
  • Knowledge of current transfer and articulation practices.
  • Experience with diverse populations and providing direct support to students.
  • Experience with research and compiling data.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and planning skills.
  • Must have experience working in a shared governance environment.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, student information systems, and degree audit tracking software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Student Services, Education, or other related field.
  • Knowledge of COMAR, ARTSYS, transfer and articulation practices in higher education.
  • Experience with Phi Theta Kappa
