Temporary Accounts Receivable Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to support our accounting team during the year-end season. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of AR records, supporting compliance efforts, and responding to auditor inquiries. The ideal candidate will have experience in AR processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research AR aging and make outreach calls to resolve issues timely in order to collect payment or document billing errors.
- Gather, organize, and verify AR records, including customer invoices, payment receipts, and credit memos, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in reconciling accounts receivable data to ensure alignment with general ledger records.
- Maintain proper documentation to support auditor-provided request lists (PBCs).
- Review and update customer account records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Address discrepancies in customer accounts, including unapplied payments or aging items, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Respond promptly to auditor inquiries and requests, providing accurate and complete AR documentation.
- Work closely with internal teams to retrieve supporting documents and clarify details for auditors.
- Assist with closing activities related to accounts receivable, including reconciliations and preparation of AR aging reports.
- Ensure AR records are complete and accurate to meet year-end and audit deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
