Job Description:
Our client is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal in supporting our ASIC SW Team (SDK) by producing comprehensive technical documentation that meets the evolving needs of our programs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, with a strong emphasis on network and API documentation. This position requires a candidate who can work efficiently in an office environment and is committed to delivering high-quality content that enhances user understanding and engagement. Responsibilities:

• Develop clear and engaging technical documentation focused on Cisco Networking and API-related materials.
• Utilize documentation tool infrastructures such as Sphinx and RST to create and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to gather and research information for use in creating comprehensive technical guides, manuals, and instructions.
• Assist in the layout and design of technical documentation to ensure a user-friendly experience.
• Adapt and update technical documents as necessary to reflect product updates, new features, and enhancements.
• Participate in the review process to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with documentation standards.
• Contribute to the development of a SW support network for customers by providing essential documentation support.
• Work closely with the Software Development group to address the rising demand for technical documentation and support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the technology sector.
• Proven ability to write clear and engaging content on Cisco Networking and API-related documentation.
• Experience with and understanding of documentation tool infrastructures such as Sphinx and RST.
• Fluency in English with exceptional proficiency in English writing skills.
• Ability to work in an office environment at the specified location.
• Knowledge of Sphinx / RST Infrastructure for Documentation is highly desired.
• Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
