Nature & Purpose of Position:While in this position, the Service Staff Lead will help management with the development, operation and supporting of various areas within the department, including maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, public areas, inventory, policies, and procedures, and other. Meeting and communicating with management on a consistent basis are expected.
Service Staff Lead will be responsible for the following tasks: department strategies, training and development, meetings and workshops, inventory, operating PMS systems, assigning tasks, area inspections, preventative maintenance (locks, a/c filters, carpets, mattress rotations, deep cleaning, etc.), after-hours and on-call, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, public areas, SHSU and hotel event participation (as needed), other duties as assigned).
Service Staff Lead should be knowledgeable, capable, available, and willing to work effectively, efficiently, and consistently in any area or shift within their department if needed (in compliance with SHSU class schedule).
