Who are we looking for?

GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Engineer- Water Resources. You will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of projects related to dams and water-related structures. The ideal candidate will have a background in geotechnical and structural engineering with a focus on hydrology and hydraulics (H&H). This position involves a blend of fieldwork, data analysis, and technical reporting. This position will work from our Irvine office, supporting projects in the West Region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support H&H and Civil3D projects relating to dams, reservoirs, levees, flood control channels, and other water storage facilities.
• Produce plan sets for water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain lines.
• Perform research and review available documents.
• Conduct various hydrologic and engineering fieldwork.
• Perform various data analyses.
• Prepare and review technical reports.

Qualifications;

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in H&H and civil projects related to dams and levees.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Proficiency in ArcMap, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project).

Salary Range- $70,000-$106,000.00 based on experience
