RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Staff Auditor III to join their team.Responsibilities:- Contribute to audit planning, development of audit programs, process mapping, scope discussions, and drafting audit reports
- Conduct audit tests with minimal supervision, deepening your understanding of how audit objectives align with audit tests, focusing on key substantive issues
- Support the annual SOX program by executing control tests, including performing walkthroughs, designing and executing tests, and reviewing testing performed by others, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
- Prepare workpapers that thoroughly document testing, discussions, conclusions, and any identified issues, ensuring logical organization consistent with departmental standards
- Demonstrate professionalism by collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving company systems and processes
- Perform audit follow-up, including testing corrective actions to ensure the effectiveness of recommendations implemented
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards, staying up-to-date with relevant IT and accounting topics through training and knowledge sharing
- Travel as required to meet business needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
- Eligible to sit for the CPA, CISA, or CIA exam
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to IT auditing, ideally within an accounting firm or public company setting
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written), attention to detail, initiative, and sound judgment
- In-depth understanding of internal auditing concepts, tools, and techniques, as well as audit documentation processes
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques such as SQL, ACL Analytics, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
