Your Opportunity as the Specialist, Payroll
Become a subject matter expert on our payroll processing team, supporting our US and Canada pay groups for timely and accurate submissions.

Location: Orrville, OH Corporate Offices

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectation

In this role you will:

  • Process payroll for multiple pay groups including US, Canada, and newly hired payroll set ups
  • Ensure payroll is executed in accordance with SOX controls and run reports to locate and correct any errors in pay
  • Process and mail any paper checks or manual checks upon request
  • Ensure accurate withholding of payroll taxes and other deductions.
  • Collaborate with internal Human Resources team to address complex payroll requests or issues
  • Collaborate with internal Leaves & Accommodations team to review leave of absence pay
  • Complete employment verifications, unemployment insurance information and process final pays according to state guidance
  • Support testing of new features, system updates, and mergers and acquisition activities related to payroll
  • Provide ideas, solutions, and tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll processing

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ years of payroll processing or Payroll Certification program in lieu of experience
  • Significant analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend a course of action
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and applications, especially excel

Additional skills and experiences that we think would make someone successful in this role:
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • CPP (US) and/or PCP (Canada) professional designation
  • Experience with Workday payroll systems
  • Experience processing Canada payroll
