ECS is seeking a qualified ServiceNow Platform Administrator (Senior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Job Description:
In this role you will support our groups ServiceNow instance and Customer Portals. As administrator, developer, and application specialist you are meeting the needs of the business through ServiceNow functionality. The scope of responsibilities include primarily the management and continuous improvement to Strategic Portfolio Management, IT Service Management, and Customer Service Management products.
Administrator responsibilities (25% of time):
- Coordinate and facilitate platform configuration, resources, and updates and upgrades.
- Responsible for instance stack, day-to-day support, system upgrades, integrity and overall health and performance.
- Knowledge of organization's roadmap, and key member of project teams to achieve goals.
- Oversee instance security including access control, accounts, groups, roles and delegated development
- Developer responsibilities (40% of time):
- Translate business requirements, map the user flow and investigate the best possible technical options.
- Create new applications and user experiences, automate processes, and make changes to existing applications.
- Help test, troubleshoot and ensure a smooth upgrade of the instance.
- Collaborate to find the best solutions for the business.
- Application Specialist responsibilities (25% of time):
- View trends, predictions, breakdowns, and associated records for detailed performance analysis.
- Use real-time, in-platform data as your single source of truth-not scattered info sources.
- Use embedded dashboard and KPIs within existing forms to get answers and enhance decision-making.

Required Skills: - Master's Degree in a relevant field AND four years of ServiceNow platform/system administration experience
OR - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field AND six years of ServiceNow platform/system administration experience
OR - ServiceNow System Administrator Certification AND two years of ServiceNow platform/system administration experience
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills: - Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
- ServiceNow certifications in two or more applications (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, GRC, SecOps, SAM or HR)
- ITILv3 or ITILv4 fundamentals certification
- Security Plus (Sec+) certification or equivalent
- ITILv3 or ITILv4 fundamentals certification
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Knowledge of systems, infrastructure, and networks
