SummarySenior Research Scientists are individuals holding a Ph.D. or other terminal degree who play a significant role in enabling, facilitating, and promoting research programs through collaborative and collegial interactions with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and staff. The rank of Senior Research Scientist is a staff appointment and the most senior level within the research scientist job hierarchy. A Senior Research Scientist may apply their effort entirely to research or to a combination of research, training, and lab managerial activities.
Required Qualifications* Terminal Degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M./, etc.) * 10 years of experience in a relevant research area, and evidence of scholarly work (e.g. scientific publications, scientific grant contributions, etc.)
* Ph.D. in Bioengineering or a related field. * 3 years of experience in research and development of microphysiological systems.* Work experience in an academic environment.* More than 10 years' research experience.* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.* Experience managing research budgets and/or personnel.
