HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR NORCROSS OFFICE

Job Purpose:

The Senior Pricing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that supplier cost changes are transferred to customers in the form of price adjustments that are provided to Veritiv's sales team for action. This person will support the Pricing Operations Manager with various data extracts, ad hoc reports and analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

● Thoroughly analyze and validate supplier cost changes and customer price change data to ensure that supplier cost passes through to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
● Independently identify and research complex system and data issues. Report findings and provide resolution recommendations to Pricing team, Pricing Software vendors, and Product Management team leadership.
● Transfer supplier cost changes into customer price changes for the sales team while ensuring that margins are maintained.
● Perform price/product analysis looking for growth opportunities and review with the sales team.
● Analyze trends in supplier, customer, item, price, cost, and margin data to determine and execute actions that will impact prices charged to customers for products.
● Partner with Product Managers to design and execute market and non-market based price optimization campaigns and develop custom excel based models to support those efforts. Present a summary output of recommended campaign actions using analytical tools such as pivot tables, histograms, scenario and sensitivity analysis tools.
● Assist with sales training to maximize price performance and utilization of pricing tools.
● Engage with sales and sales management to improve seller pricing scores, minimize overrides, and improve transaction accuracy.
● Ensure minimum margin thresholds are maintained with appropriate sales management approval.
● Work in tandem with business leaders to ensure all pricing related initiatives are rolled out to sales. Provide expertise to pricing discussion and provide advice when pricing large or long term customer pricing decisions.
● Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Research and resolve pricing errors within pricing and ERP systems.
● Test and validate system fixes and upgrades.
● Provide reporting (overrides, opportunity reports, scorecards, ad hoc) and conduct analysis.

Work Experience:

● 5-10 years of related job experience.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree Preferred
