This position supports our medical professional liability line of business. We can accommodate a fully remote work arrangement for candidates not based within a reasonable commuting distance of our office locations. Candidates should reside in the contiguous US.

Job Summary:

The Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of identified system enhancements to achieve alignment and improvement in efficiencies and productivity. This position is also responsible for collaborating across departments to ensure key operational reports and metrics are developed and delivered and system enhancements identified are developed, tested, and implemented. The Senior Operations Analyst will serve as liaison between the Operation Process & Alignment team of BOLT and other departments including IT, Underwriting, Business Development and Claims as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

40% - Systems and Processes:

  • Acts as a BOLT representative and liaison between Departments and the Information Technology team as needed for requirements development, planning, functional testing, and training of identified system enhancements. Drives the implementation of identified process and workflow enhancements.
  • Collaborates within BOLT and across Departments in documenting, planning, testing and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Develops detailed test plans and timelines to ensure user acceptance testing is completed, documented and approvals are secured for IT Implementation of system changes.
  • Leads efforts in developing and implementing identified process and workflow enhancements.
  • Collaborates with the Training & Development staff in providing recommendations and support for education and training for the HCPL Group as system and process enhancements are implemented.
35% - Projects and Reports:
  • Leads and actively participates in projects within the HCPL group. Also ensures the operational reporting needs of BOLT and other Departments within the HCPL group are developed and delivered.
  • Leads specific projects assigned including the development of project plans outlining stakeholders, key deliverables, timelines, communication plans and reporting of measurable results.
  • Actively participates in cross -functional/department projects as a representative of BOLT, providing input and collaborating with project members in delivering assigned tasks.
  • Collaborates within BOLT, other Departments, and Data Analytics to ensure identified operational reports and metrics are developed as needed. Provides input to Data Analytics in the development of needed reports, conducts user acceptance testing of reports and communicates and trains staff on the use of reports.
20% - Audits and Compliance:
  • Evaluates state compliance-related notifications, identifying any changes needed to existing processes and procedures. Collaborates with Departments in developing and implementing any changes.
  • Supports Departments with external audits and processes.

Secondary Responsibilities:

5% - Maintains proficiency in reporting applications and report development. Leads cross-organizational teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance or Information Technology, or related field. In lieu of degree, candidate must have a minimum of eight years' relevant experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience in insurance environment and process improvement.
  • Project organization and planning experience.
  • Working knowledge in report Development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in multiple and complex claims and underwriting systems.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and writing skills, strong interpersonal, and relationship management expertise.
  • Ability to negotiate across the organization in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Willing to travel.

Position Salary Range$63,409.00 - $104,635.00The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
