Position Overview:
As the Program Integrity Senior Manager, successful candidates will manage various Medicaid and/or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) program integrity engagements, perform analysis of health care claim payments, conduct client meetings, monitor project deadlines, coordinate staff assignments, manage completion of deliverables, and prepare written documentation that supports findings and conclusions.
Essential Functions:
- Possess and apply a solid understanding of appropriate federal and state billing and reimbursement regulations, policies, and procedures related to Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Programs
- Oversee analyses and audits relating to healthcare engagements, with a focus on identification of provider fraud, abuse, or misuse of payor funds
- Interact with state and federal representatives to complete project tasks and deliverables
- Review policies at regular intervals and track developments in the relevant law or regulation
- Update policies and procedures in accordance with new developments
- Identify risks
- Develop and manage staff
- Develop testing procedures and draft corrective action plans
- Maintain successful client relationships
- Oversight of work plan functions, due dates, and preparation of deliverables
- Assist in the preparation of training materials and staff development
- Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information encountered during performance
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field required
- 8 years experience in public accounting or related field
- 5 years supervisory
- Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Windows, SQL Server
- Must have strong ability to analyze data to identify issues and potential fraud
- Organized and detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
- Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Ability to represent the firm in project meetings, training sessions, and national conferences
- Proficient use of applicable technology to include: administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, database manipulation and internet research
- Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
- Ability to formulate, document and recommend new policies and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Cost Report/DSH engagement team.
Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
