Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Fulfill multiple teams reporting needs by creating reports on Tableau (backend data from BigQuery, Azure, JIRA, and Service Now) and provide them with actionable insights. Track and determine objectives for business needs using key performance indicators and metrics by employing statical modelling and analysis using SQL querying on google big query and Azure data bricks. Build Python scripts to automate flow of data from the source databases on to the Tableau environment on the prep builder application. Set up data flows and pipelines using Hive, Azure and BigQuery and automate all reports to ensure daily runs. Monitor errors across all areas to debug and improve scripts. Work with managers and senior analysts across teams to determine business needs, impact of report and the features on it by employing regular program improvements and related statistical inferences. Forecast and develop key metrics including time to resolution and aging rates to ensure the backlog incidents and tickets across all boards including JIRA and ServiceNow.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering Management, Engineering (any), or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering Management, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience querying databases and modelling data model using SQL. Experience developing visualizations and reports using Tableau and Pivot. Experience with ETL and prep scripts using Python. Experience with statistical forecasting using Python and R. Experience developing experimentation using A/B testing and experimental design. Experience developing VBA scripts and pivot reports. Experience scheduling ETL scripts using SSIS and Cron. Experience with transformation of modelling of data using Azure Databricks and BigQuery. Experience logging incidents using JIRA and ServiceNow and manipulating JIRA data using JQL. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
