RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Senior Accountant.Responsibilities:- Audits & Financial Reviews: The Senior Accountant will work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations
- Month-End Close: Help with month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Project Setup: Manage the setup of new projects in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring proper configuration
- Workforce Assignments: Coordinate project workforce assignments for accurate labor cost tracking
- Bank Reconciliations: The Senior Accountant will perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Payroll: Serve as backup for payroll processing and related tasks
- Additional Duties: Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/related field
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, particularly with Deltek Costpoint
- Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint, including modules like Projects, GL, and Reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in government contracting or a similar industry
- Knowledge of audit processes and regulatory compliance
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
