The Judge Group is looking for a currently seeking a Sanitation Manager in Santa Fe Springs, CA
This is a full time, permanent position with competitive salary, benefits, and PTO!
The Sanitation Manager will manage all sanitation employees on all shifts and is responsible for effectively overseeing and controlling the cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment, utensils and the entire plant environment. The Sanitation manager is also responsible for the development, implementation, execution and evaluation of the Sanitation Program (daily, non-daily activities) and taking corrective action to prevent product contamination.
Sanitation Responsibilities:
• Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils and production and non-production environment of all three buildings.
• Plan sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with sanitation staff, Operations manager, Maintenance and any other key employees frequently and regularly within timelines.
• Audit and report non-compliance and take corrective actions to assure compliance to all quality assurance food safety requirements on a regular and daily basis
• Develop and execute training to meet all job requirements and ensure employee compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
• Oversee and train personnel in the proper use of chemicals within the facility
• Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with standards, rules and regulations issued under the OSH Act.
• Make sure employees have and use safe tools and equipment and properly maintain this equipment.
• Establish or update operating procedures and communicate them so that employees follow safety and health requirements.
• Provide ongoing safety trainings with department employees
Qualifications
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5 years of experience in management in manufacturing (with various food regulatory standards)
• Must be familiar with the theory and application of clean in place (CIP), clean out of place (COP), temperature, timing, and chemical concentration and effectively present these concepts to subordinates
