Basic Job Functions:

Nucor-Yamato Steel is seeking a strong leader for the position of Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be a leader capable of helping the Nucor-Yamato team take care of our customers, while displaying concern for their team and the division's safety in all they do. They will be able to set a clear vision for their team and be able to execute that strategy in meeting all objectives including creating and executing a commercial and sales strategy for NYS, our product group and the enterprise. The successful candidate must be able to build strong relationships in every area of our business and clearly communicate our strategies to our team and our customer base. They will work collaboratively within the team to motivate and inspire an entire operation as part of the Leadership Team at Nucor-Yamato Steel Company.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of steel commercial experience.
  • General Manager recommendation.

    Problem Solving - Demonstrated problem solving skills in all areas of the business (technical, commercial, financial and organizational).

    Results Driven - Demonstrated ability to establish a clear vision and expectations and achieve results.

    Coaching and Developing Others - Proven ability to grow and develop teammates to improve their skills and help achieve their goals.
