Core Responsibilities:

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:

• Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
  
• Provide patient-centered care that adapts to specific population characteristics and cultural diversity.
  
• Engage with patients and significant others using appropriate methods, including bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds, to ensure patient goals are central to care plans.
  
• Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
  

Teamwork and Collaboration:

• Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care while fostering inclusive communication and a respectful clinical environment.
  
• Collaborate effectively to promote team recruitment and retention, and support performance improvement activities.

• Complete all required competency assessments and mandatory education.
  
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the development of a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
  

Evidence-Based Practice and Research:

• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in value analysis and research to enhance patient care.
  
• Adhere to organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  

Resources and Support:

• Plan patient care across the continuum and collaborate on developing protocols and procedures to achieve optimal outcomes.
  
• Support efficient use of resources.
  

Required Education:

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school is preferred.
  

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact) required.
  
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  
• BLS and ACLS instructor or provisional certifications preferred.
  

Additional Certifications:

• National certification in area of specialty preferred.
  

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in the specified area of practice.
  
• Computer/data entry experience required; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
  

Required Skills:

• Effective communication with healthcare team members.
  
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer operations.
  
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and respectfully.
  
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
