The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years' experience in a customer service environment preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to plan work schedules, to assign personnel, and supervise the work of subordinates.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and patrons.

Position Summary:

Enhance the operational efficiency and elevate the standard of service excellence in food and beverage across all outlets within the UGA Center for Continuing Education and Hotel, will collaborate with the Retail Dining Manager. Will lead and guide a team of dedicated hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of continuous training and development. Our goal is to create an exceptional and memorable dining experience for our guests. Responsible for managing retail staff within the outlet operations. Assisting the RDM in the development and management of a service culture that creates a work environment that is focused on the health and safety of guests and employees.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly. Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Good communication skills. Ability to plan work schedules, to assign personnel, and supervise the work of subordinates. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and patrons.

Physical Demands:

Stand for long periods of time under conditions of high temperature. Lift, pull or roll at least 30lbs. Bend, kneel and work with hands. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
