Duties: The Arrhythmia Imaging Research Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a research specialist to work on computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance image (MRI) datasets for retrospective and prospective identification of cardiac arrhythmia substrates and to guide complex catheter ablation procedures. The successful applicant will be taught how to analyze image datasets and perform clinical research. He/she will be encouraged to participate in academic meetings within the Division of Cardiology and Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Essential responsibilities will include: 1) database management, 2) image analysis, 3) participation in research meetings, and 4) contribution to and co-authorship in manuscripts prepared by the group.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of directly related research experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required. Previous experience with image and statistical analysis is preferred, but not necessary.
