RESEARCH SPECIALIST A

Duties: Under supervision, prepare and execute multiple research experiments focusing on biopolymers and cell mechanics. Oversee the daily operations of the lab. Analyze cells utilizing microscopy and biochemical assays. Maintain cell culture lines. Write protocols and contribute to manuscripts and grant proposals. Prepare solutions, reagents, and media as needed. Order and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with cellular/molecular biology techniques preferred. Must have strong organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills, and ability to coordinate several projects concurrently.
