The Role
Plans, develops, coordinates and facilitates instructional courses and related training material required by NAVSEA in support of radiological controls, radiation worker and nuclear skills training programs. Analyzes training needs identified by contract.
Primary role will be as a dedicated embedded deck plate instructor. Will provide deck plate development and instruction to encourage RCT proficiency across various platforms. Will coach and mentor RCTs through role as an embedded instructor on the waterfront. Will facilitate training to support the initial qualification of RCT trainees, as well as provide radiological expertise for all RCTs in various capacities as required. Will foster learning for the organization through administration of the radiological casualty training programs.
The incumbent will hold or have formerly held an RCT qualification; have senior level experience in the Radiological Program; be committed to upholding the principles of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program and in the development of others. Will not have work restrictions which will prevent regular deck plate observations on all platforms and facilities and participation in organizational drills.
Must Have
RCT certification required and minimum of 4 years of experience as a certified RCT.
