RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a Quality Assurance Tester.Key Responsibilities:Test Automation Development:- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
- As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will implement and manage test frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Optimize test cases to improve execution efficiency and coverage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans, strategies, and objectives
- Analyze user stories and technical requirements to identify test scenarios
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to detect, report, and resolve defects
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes
- Establish and enforce best practices for automation and quality assurance
- Ensure adherence to software testing standards, processes, and guidelines
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on automated scripts written by team members
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
- Retest resolved issues to validate fixes
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics to track test execution and defect status
- Document automated test scripts and related procedures for knowledge sharing
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation
- Proven expertise in developing automated test cases using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar tools
- Experience in testing web, mobile, or API-based applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Software Tester (CSTE) are a plus
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
