Job Description
The Quality Assurance & Laboratory Support Assistant aids the Quality Assurance Manager, Technical Director, and Business Unit Manager with a variety of tasks throughout the lab. Workload and assignments will be managed by the Quality Assurance Manager, but the Assistant may spend 50% or more of the average year assisting with non-QA tasks.
In the QA department the Assistant is responsible for maintaining equipment calibrations and verifications, issuing and maintain laboratory documents and records, assisting with proficiency testing log-in and reporting, and leading new employee orientations.
Operations support will include general administrative tasks such as welcoming guests, routing phone calls, printing documents, and assisting with basic laboratory tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- General administrative tasks such as welcoming guests, answering phones, receiving packages, printing, etc.
- Perform or arrange for calibration of laboratory support equipment which may include balances, weights, and thermometers.
- Issue controlled and uncontrolled documents such as SOPs, Work Instructions, and Logbooks.
- Archive and ensure maintenance of records archives for technical records including SOPs, QC records, laboratory data, etc.
- Maintain training records, including Demonstrations of Capability (DOCs) for all employees.
- Assist in login and reporting of proficiency testing samples to appropriate agencies.
- Assist QA Manager in maintaining the laboratory's reference data
- Retrieves samples for analysis.
- Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
- Stocks laboratory supplies.
- Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Additional InformationCompensation range: $18 - $22 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Position is full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
