Who are we looking for?

GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Manager to support our West Region. The selected candidate can be located in Phoenix AZ, or Irvine/Sacramento, CA. The Proposal Manager will support pursuit and proposal activities and the development and implementation of pursuit plans and strategy.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Lead the proposal efforts for CRM clients throughout NA.
• Lead proposal strategy discussions and kick-off meetings for large pursuits and ensuring strategic win themes are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal.
• Facilitate and lead Go/No Go, proposal strategy discussions, kick-off meetings and ensure strategies, win themes, and value propositions are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal.
• Drive development and manages proposal team (technical leader, marketing coordinator, graphics, etc.).
• Collaborate with team in the development of various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and/or other Volumes as assigned.
• Facilitate Pink, Red team, and other reviews.
• Facilitate production and delivery of finished product, while complying with all RFP requirements
• Lead interview strategy discussions.
• Manage the interview development and production process from start to finish.
• Facilitate proposal debrief and lessons learned discussions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in English, Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related major
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading the proposal process from pre-positioning phases through interview and driving teams to develop compliant and competitive bids for an engineering, construction or professional services organization.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign
• Understanding of marketing techniques (i.e. layout, graphics, strategy-to-win)
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently.
• Ability to manage and work effortlessly with Technical Leaders in any market and service line.
• Proven leadership and strategy development skills
• Confident personality with the ability to think strategically and help teams develop sound marketing, pursuit and proposal strategies.
• Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines.

Salary Range: $92,000-$137,000 based on location and experience
