A DAY IN THE LIFE

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.

As a key member of the Charlotteteam, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Schedule routes for couriers with goal of maximizing density of pickups, keeping costs low, meeting client timelines, and facilitating logistical needs of Enthalpy laboratories.
  • Responsible for preparation and completion of project deliverables, including but not limited to invoices, Certificate of Analysis.
  • Responsible for environmental compliance of field and lab data with regard to permits and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and acquire certification for laboratory analyses, such as microbiology testing to establish a short holding laboratory.
  • Serve as a mobile presence/logistical resource for clients.
  • Provide sample pick up and container pick up in case of emergency.
  • Assess and recommend routing to meet client and project manager needs.
  • Manage courier expenses and time sheets, appropriating the correct hours to the correct lab location.
  • Determine needs for testing expansion or changing of routes and schedules.
  • Train and evaluate lab and other courier staff members.
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Ensure that company vehicle fleet is in good working order.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Assist the Regional Director in growth strategy of the service center.
  • Comply with Enthalpy's Quality Assurance Program, Health & Safety Plan, and other policies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lab Director or Regional Director
YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 8+ years of environmental-related experience including demonstrated progress in managing projects.
Preferred Skills
  • BS in Science related degree or equivalent of 3 years in similar work experience
  • 5+ yrs. of environmental lab and/or field logistics experience
  • Experience directly managing clients and/or employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff.
