We invite you to be part of this mission.Student Engagement & Inclusion (SEI) is a team within the MBA & MSx Programs at the GSB that values working directly with student leaders and appreciates the role of student activities in creating a vibrant and inclusive community. The team provides support for student leaders to leverage their leadership potential through extracurricular and co-curricular activities in an academic environment. The GSB is seeking a student services professional who is excited to support students in cultivating meaningful experiences. As a Program Manager, the central mission of this role is to collaboratively work with the SEI team to support student clubs ensuring that events and activities are safe, inclusive, successful, and reflect well on the institution. The Program Manager will also plan and execute large-scale events to enhance the student experience. The Program Manager interacts with MBA and MSx students and has a significant impact on individual student leaders and the student body as a whole. The Program Manager is responsible for regular club events, including advising on policies and procedures, answering questions, reviewing and approving event proposals, ensuring event compliance, and escalating complex events. As the primary contact, the Program Manager communicates and collaborates with the team to deliver exceptional student service.The successful Program Manager has experience with event coordination and balancing multiple and competing priorities. Additionally, the Program Manager has a strong, student-centered orientation, acute problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a good sense of humor, and a sharp mind. Experience with professional graduate business students/culture is preferred.
This is a full-time position with the expectation of being onsite at least four days per week after the training period.Your primary responsibilities* include:

      Club Event Advising
        Review club event submissions for approval. Provide support and guidance to student leaders in their event planning and execution efforts. Actively respond to inquiries regarding club events and activities, ensuring that events follow appropriate policies and procedures. Collaborate with SEI team members to address more complex cases.
      Event Coordination and Execution:
        Organize the annual Student Activities Fair, featuring over 60+ GSB clubs and 16 GSB departments.Organize information sessions and resources that encourage participation in clubs, student government, and other leadership opportunities. Provide direct administrative support for the execution of annual student-led retreats, conferences, and banquets. Manage catering orders, communicate with vendors, support the event registration process, collaborate with advisors for event communications and promotions, oversee venue reservations and equipment needs, manage transportation logistics, etc.
      Club Operations & Systems Support:
        Maintain and optimize internal processes and systems that support club operations, including club leadership and membership email lists, university club management platforms (CardinalEngage & GrantEd), student leader resources, annual club registration process, etc. Regularly maintain updates on the internal website, manage the GSB student leader lists, oversee the liability waiver collection process, etc.Continually assess and improve workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
      Policy Interpretation:
        Understand, communicate, and uphold policies; collaborate with SEI team members to recommend policy changes as needed. Serve as a subject matter expert to students and other departments.
      Support MBA & MSx Programs Activities:
        Participate in and support department initiatives and major annual student activities as a fully-engaged member of the MBA & MSx Programs team. Maintain a flexible mindset to assume Student Engagement & Inclusion in special projects as needed.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
      Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to students and colleagues. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong customer service or student service skills.Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.Basic analysis and problem-solving skills.Understanding of financial transactions.Ability to learn and understand compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.Ability to work an on-site schedule and occasional hybrid during non-peak student periods.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
      Experience with student affairs, student activities, and with graduate students in a highly selective program is desirable.Experience with working with student organization management platforms.
The expected pay range for this position is $66,560 - $85,000 per year. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
