Job Description

Location/Division Specific Information:

The Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) provides innovative diagnostic solutions for select IVD market segments and has been a trusted supplier in the IVD industry for over 40 years. The division provides products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening and more.

Location: Middletown, VA

Hours: 11pm - 7:30am (6/2 schedule with 15% shift differential)

A Day in the Life:

  • Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in line opening and machine set-up.
  • Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP's, PMR's, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.
  • Document accurately and check work for quality and compliance.
  • Continuously monitor product for defects.
  • Improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in the training and development of peers.
  • Provide guidance and direction to peers.
  • Drive production and lead team through day-to-day activities.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.
  • Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
