Pr. Scientist, Immunochemistry

Employee Responsibilities:

This position will develop single and multiplex immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization panels in fluorescence and brightfiled using our automated slide staining platforms, and perform image analysis as required. This position will work closely with global Pathology/Histology to ensure workflow and communication is maintained to decrease turnaround time and delivering on deliverables.

The Ideal Candidate would possess:


  • Experience performing antibody validation in frozen and FFPE human and animal tissues.
  • Experience successfully developing multiplex immunohistochemistry/in situ hybridization and dual IHC/ISH protocols on the Leica BondRx and Ventana automated slide based platforms, troubleshooting antibody clones and dilutions, antigen retrievals and signal amplification technologies.
  • Experience organizing archived microscope glass slides and tissue blocks.
  • Proficiency in BioSmarts tissue/specimen tracking software to enter samples with their accompanying metadata.
  • Experience checking and monitoring tissue inventory
  • Experience successfully developing whole slide imaging protocols in both fluorescent and brightfiled applications using the Zeiss Axio-Z1 scanner and Vectra 3 multispectral imaging systems. Maintaining the scanners service contracts and provide access and training to researchers outside the group.
  • Experience successfully developing image analysis algorithms using; HALO, Aperio, Definiens, Visopharm and InForm imaging platforms, organize associated metadata, and utilize spotfire and Cytobank data visualizations to be included in Pathology reports.
  • Experience improving theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the digital pathology field
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. with 5+ years of related experience; M.S. with 3-7 years of related experience; PhD with related experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of site are encouraged to apply.
