As a Plant Operator, you will work as part of a team to ensure the overall successful operation of the terminal. Functions include loading and unloading of trucks, unloading rail cars, basic maintenance activities, upkeep of operational documentation and maintaining standard plant operations. Safety of our employees is our core value. Employees will be required to participate in safety programs and engage in the employee-owned safety culture of the facility.

Essential Functions

  • Willingness to abide by safety policies and adhere to the policies/practices
  • Raw material receiving activities
  • Product shipment activities
  • Manufacturing of asphalt products
  • Maintain required documentation regarding daily operation activity
  • Maintain appropriate plant operations by adjusting plant equipment
  • Perform general plant facility maintenance
  • Troubleshoot process issues
Education Qualifications
  • Preferred High School or Equivalent
Experience Qualifications
  • Preferred 1+ years industry experience
Skills and Abilities
  • Adaptable mindset

  • Ability to succeed in team environment
  • Preferred basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
  • Preferred previous production/maintenance experience
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver's license Required
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Ability to utilize ladders and stairs to access equipment
  • Willingness to work outdoors
  • Willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment
  • Comfort level working around industrial piping and on elevated platforms
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Safely lift at least 50 lbs
  • Successfully pass a physical and drug test
