Physician Assistant - Locums

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Locums Physician Assistant to cover their patients/offices in Broward County, FL. Their goal is to radically improve the way that musculoskeletal issues are cared for within the broader context of the US healthcare ecosystem. We are looking for PAs who are dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based medicine, interested in new models of care, and excited about utilization of high-value technology.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding, non-operative care to patients
• Assess patients virtually and in-person to provide evaluation and management
  
• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with conservative and evidence-based protocols; in-office procedures when appropriate
  
• Manage patients Pre- and post- surgery
  
• (Ideally) Perform cortisone Injections
  
• (Ideally,) Take digital x-rays in office
  
• Collaborate with partner PCPs, Surgeons, and Physical Therapists to provide care

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Have had relevant work experience
• Worked in an orthopedic, sports medicine, hospital, or home health environment
  
• Licensed to practice in the state of Florida
• Board Certified - Ideally additional orthopedics/sports medicine/PMR trained as a PA
• Have Practiced for at least 3 years
• Can work in a collaborative care team environment with other physicians
• A flexible and collaborative colleague who is interested in helping refine their care model
