ABOUT THE JOB
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for a combination of clinical and client facing worksite support. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for assuring that all patients receive top notch musculoskeletal care. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist to facilitate attainment of physical therapy goals. In addition, the Physical Therapist Assistant will help support the client in the worksite providing body mechanics education, ergonomics and safety information, wellness initiatives, and other non-clinical worksite support. The Physical Therapist Assistant will also maintain a positive working relationship and collaboration with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Functions as part of care continuum and medical team, including but not limited to: physician, PA/NP, physical therapist, occupational therapist, health coach, medical assistant, etc.
- Implements patient plan of care through delivery of therapeutic exercise, modalities, manual therapies, therapeutic activities, and patient education as established by the physical therapist. Observes patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress and provides results to the physical therapist in person or through progress notes.
- Communicates and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, quality patient care.
- Documents patient care services appropriately and timely by charting in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.,
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and fellow staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Provides highest quality of customer service with compassion and respect for all patients,
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements and practice acts.
- Provides client worksite injury prevention education, ergonomic and safety coaching, and worksite assessments as needed.
- Attendance at all Everside Health center training sessions (including EMR training).
- Identify community health needs and strategies to address them.
- Effectively communicates with interdisciplinary team in the planning and implementation of the patient's plan of care.
- To schedule follow-up appointments, screenings, and tests for client company employees.
- Assist in outreach efforts with Everside Health to target those employees at highest risk of developing chronic diseases.
QUALIFICATIONSGraduate of an accredited two-year college program for Physical Therapist Assistant's that has been certified by the American Physical Therapy Association plus a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and APTA guidelines. Outpatient experience for adolescent and adult population. Current BLS certification.

Pay Range: $27.00-30.00/hr The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level.
