Required:Undergraduate Program:
Applicants must have Masters in Kinesiology or closely related field with a minimum of 18hrs of graduate coursework in Kinesiology/Physical Education/Sport/Recreation
Graduate Program:
Doctorate Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Management, Recreation or closely aligned field; demonstrated ability or experience teaching at the college or University level, including via distance education.

Preference given to candidates with demonstrated experience in teaching at the college or University level, as well as applied knowledge of quality standards for online teaching. Highlight other industry or professional accomplishments in cover letter.
Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for instruction of course work within the Department of Kinesiology including but not limited to: Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sport Science, Sport Management, Recreation & Leisure Studies, or closely aligned field -please specify in cover letter. Experience teaching in an online environment with demonstrated skills using a learning management system (e.g. Blackboard) preferred.
Position is Security Sensitive.

Salary Detail:Masters Degree under 20 students $850/credit or $2,550 per 3 SCHMasters Degree over 20 students $500 extraPh.D. under 20 students $900/credit or $2,700 per 3 SCHPh.D. over 20 students $500 extraSummer Faculty $4,200 (Per 3 SCH) max 6 SCH per session, prorated for fewer than 10 students
Summer courses above the max 6 SCH are paid at the overload rate of $2,130
Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.

The Department of Biology, Geology, and Physical Sciences offers BS and MS degrees in biology, chemistry, and geology. The graduate programs in Biology and Geology enrolls approximately thirty students each, primarily thesis seeking.
