Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer III in Owings Mills, MD (100% Onsite)
This position will be onsite full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network infrastructure to ensure connectivity and stability of the company's network
- Analyze security vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to protect the network against potential threats
- Configure and maintain Cisco ISO devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Work with Nexus switches and related technologies such as Virtual Port Channels (VPC) and Fabric Path
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Work with switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannels, and Layer 2 and 3 switching
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering
- Experience with network cabling infrastructure design and installation
- Strong knowledge of network security vulnerabilities and solutions
- Experience with Cisco ISO devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience with Nexus switches and related technologies such as VPC and Fabric Path
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Experience with switching technologies including VLANs, STP, Ether Channels, and Layer 2 and 3 switching
- Network engineers typically have a Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP Certification
