Network Engineer (Fort Myers)

Ledgent Technology is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer for a 3-month contract-to-hire position based in Fort Myers, Florida. This role requires onsite presence as needed, with the potential for remote work once trust and reliability are established.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain hybrid Cisco and Ubiquiti network environments.
Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Implement and monitor network security protocols to safeguard the organization's data.
Provide support for network-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network performance and scalability.
Document network configurations and maintain accurate records of network changes.
Requirements:
Proven experience with both Cisco and Ubiquiti networking technologies.
Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Experience with network security practices and tools.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
CNNA
CISSP Preferred
Experience in hybrid network environments.
Familiarity with remote work setups and secure access configurations.
Contract Terms:
3-month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance.
Onsite work required initially, with the possibility of remote work after a proven track record of reliability and trust.
