What you'll do:
- Coordinate with the lead the Tooling engineer to refurbish and rebuild molds
- Clean and maintain molds with preventative maintenance, including dissembling and reassembly to clean components
- Must use tools and methods such as calipers, micrometers and indicators to troubleshoot or measure a mold and its components
- Troubleshoot molds, replacing components and ensuring functionality
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in the mold, mold controllers and hot runners. Must do some wiring and hot runner tips.
- Set and remove injections molds from molding machines
- Maintain inventory by tracking molds, parts and ordering supplies for the department
- Update and maintain the EAM system

What you'll need to have:
- High school diploma and preferred additional post-secondary education, a plus
- Experience working on high cavitation hot runner molds. Wiring a hot runner system, a plus
- Able to set and start molds in presses such as Van Dorn, Husky and Cincinnati machine experience, a plus
- Must have experience in troubleshooting electrical problem with hot runner molds
- Must be able to read mold design prints
- Have good mathematical analytical skills
- Must possess strong mechanical and problem solving skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic tools for general maintenance functions
- Computer literacy a big plus
- Good communication such as oral, written and listening and English skills
