POSITION SUMMARY:

To aid the Sales Department in achieving its sales plan and marketing objectives through the effective management of the Bulk Merchandisers.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Manage the Merchandisers Labor Budget.
  • Hire, train and develop merchandisers to perform their daily tasks.
  • Teach and maintain P.R.E.M.I.E.R merchandising standards to ensure appropriate and complete coverage of store merchandising.
  • Perform daily route rides with merchandisers.
  • Conduct communication and safety meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records, including time and attendance, on all merchandisers.
  • Coordinate with Area Sales Manager(s) on weekly ad activity, sales and display plans.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain all Key Accounts reset plans throughout the course of the year.
  • Work with sales team to aid in the placement and maintenance of brand equipment and POS.
  • Connect with sales team on period priorities and communicate key initiatives and plans to merch team on a consistent basis.
  • Verify expense reports for direct reports.
  • Leverage VIP technology to maintain accurate daily work and productivity of merchandising staff.
  • Perform bi-annual performance evaluations of all merchandisers.
  • Provides training, development, coaching, counsel and discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D and five years Sales/Marketing experience; OR seven years Sales/Marketing Management experience.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Related training or certification.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:

The following key competencies represent qualities, traits and behaviors that a successful employee will exhibit. This list is not exhaustive, as other qualities, traits and behaviors are also desired.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a union environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS400 and Margin Minder preferred.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Potential earning is from $58,700.00 to $86,900.00 annually
