Basic Job Functions:

The Rail Mount Komatsu Operator must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This position is responsible for the loading of scrap metal into the charging bucket for the EAF and performing or assisting in routine maintenance and clean up. The Komatsu Operator works in a relatively busy environment around many other pieces of mobile equipment. This position will require accurate recording keeping and clear communication skills. The Komatsu Operator will be responsible for using practical math skills when figuring percentages and weight conversions in the scrap recipe/mix while loading the charge buckets. The Komatsu Operator will train at the EAFs and with the Raw Material Coordinator to have a clear understanding of the EAF Operation (cause and effect of scrap loading procedures, OHC operations and scrap identification/grading). The Komatsu Operator will be expected to participate in all educational and training activities in that area. This position will work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as required. Minimum Requirements:

1-year previous Rail-Crane, Excavators, or Cab Operated Overhead Crane experience.

Basic Mechanical Knowledge.
