F&G is looking to hire for a Manager, Internal Communications

The Manager, Internal Communications is accountable for managing internal communications programs in alignment with the Corporate Communications strategy. This position will execute internal communications across multiple channels in support of a variety of functional areas.

The Manager, Internal Communications will report to the AVP, Communications and will have no direct reports. The role will partner with functional leaders to facilitate internal communications strategy and communication rhythms.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short- and long-term communication plans and execute day-to-day management of communications.
  • Develop content for all media (including but not limited to: social, web, email and video) that tells the F&G story to team members, connecting our business strategy, initiatives and results to engage employees and empower leaders.
  • Manage and develop relationships with multiple internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop deep understanding of F&G's strategy and business plans, our leaders, our competitors, and industry trends and proactively seek information internally and externally to support and bolster internal communications strategies.
  • Support functional leaders in development of key communication vehicles including Town Halls, manager tools, blogs, emails, etc.
  • Ensure messaging and brand voice are consistent with brand objectives and visual identity while also aligning to platform best-practices and trends.
  • Assess and make recommendations for intranet strategy and content, partner with functional site stewards to ensure intranet content is up to date and meets standards. Review intranet metrics and make recommendations for improvements. Partner with IT to drive intranet adoption and continual improvement.
  • Share feedback and insights that can inform our overall engagement strategies. Identify, evaluate, and report performance KPIs with a strong understanding of which measurements align with business goals.
Experience & Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience managing communications, including experience supporting leadership communications.
  • Demonstrated experience with intranet management. Able to assess communication tools and processes and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Able to collaborate with a wide range of teams, open to feedback and seeks input from others.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple long-term projects and the day-to-day.
  • Comfortable working with complex, regulated products and partnering with a broad spectrum of internal and external audiences to develop comprehensive plans.
  • Embraces and demonstrates F&G's cultural values and competencies.
  • Comfortable in a flexible working environment, working with remote teams and the ability to work remotely and/or from our Des Moines, IA office.
