    Manager I, Customer Service - Carelon Medical Benefits Management

    Shift:: 9:30-6:00 pm

    Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of the Il or CA posted Elevance Health

    PulsePoint locations.

    Hybrid Workplace Strategy: 1-2 days in office per week

    The Manager I, Customer Service is responsible for providing oversight of a referral services unit. Manager of Customer Service will effectively lead their team, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute significantly to the overall success of the organization.

    How you will make an impact:
    • Develops, coaches, and mentors referral services assistant
    • Supervises workflow and performance of associates.
    • Accepts overload of incoming and escalated phone calls, manages back-office production work such as member call-outs, scheduling PTPs, and attaching additional faxes.
    • Responds to providers and address challenges.
    • Provides quality control services.
    • Analyzes team, department, and product-line data to develop and implement action plans for improvement.
    • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
    • Works with peers across the matrix and within operations to reach strategic goals including operational efficiency.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Requires a HS diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities, & Experiences:
    • BA/BS
    • Extensive Customer Service experience preferred.
    • Management experience highly desired.
    • Experience with Excel with data analytical skills desired.
    • Experience working in a productivity environment preferred.

    For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location, the salary* range for this specific position is $55,384 to $86,688.

    Locations: California
