Basic Job Functions:
- Show urgency in addressing the needs of the production and support departments within the division
- Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on facility and facility equipment
- Help drive continuous improvements in the business
- Operating powered tools, industrial powered equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
- Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream Team Members to address safety, quality and efficiency issues/concerns
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Commercial/Industrial Electrical Journeyman's card or 3 years completed Electrical Apprentice schooling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair.
- Advanced knowledge in diagnoses of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energy systems.
- Experience related to overhead crane inspection and repair.
- Experience related to powered industrial truck inspection and repair
