Primary Objective:

Operates equipment on all packaging lines to produce a quality product to documented standards and ensure uninterrupted production.

Major Function and Scope:

  • Ensures compliance with all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Monitors and sets up Lachenmeier and associated out feed equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues on out feed equipment
  • Completes 1st pallet quality checks on all new orders
  • Loads stretch Hooder film, divider sheets, divider rolls, tier sheets, and protection sheets as needed
  • Performs PM duties
  • Notifies line operators and shift leaders of quality and production issues
  • Sends out end of shift report detailing production/quality issues
  • Works with purchasing team on resolving material related issues
  • Works with Distribution to ensure pallets are picked off the line with no line stoppage
  • Performs required housekeeping as well as implements housekeeping improvements
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of forklift driving experience
  • 1+ years of experience with automated machines
  • 1+ years mfg. Experience
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:
  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise from machinery, dust, and variable temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, which may include eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, and high visibility clothing.
  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hours shift and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required
