Overview: The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production processes within the facility. The role involves ensuring the smooth execution of production activities, maintaining high-quality standards, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position does not include direct supervision or management of staff but serves as a key resource to ensure production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily production schedules and ensure production timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between production teams, quality control, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and work with relevant departments to resolve them.
  • Provide technical expertise to enhance production efficiency and improve workflow.
  • Review and analyze production data, recommending process improvements to boost output.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing techniques to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to support production teams in understanding updated procedures and techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks preferred
  • Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
  • Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office Suite).

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or technical degree in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
