The Indiana University School of Dentistry has been advancing oral health in the state and beyond since 1879, when it was founded as the Indiana Dental College. Job Summary
- Supervises daily activities of patient care services staff and business operation functions
- Assists in establishing schedules and assigns work
- Recommends various personnel actions, including but not limited to recruiting, interviewing, selection, hiring, other training and discipline actions of clinic
- Manages patient check-in and check-out, centralized scheduling, revenue processing, insurance processing, maintenance of patient records, and compliant use of practice management software
- Resolves patient care issues
- Serves as the primary liaison for clinic staff, building operations, faculty and student clinic scheduling and patient communication with clinic leadership
QualificationsCombinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Preferred- Associate's degree in Medical Administration, Business, or closely related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 4 years of experience in a medical office or related setting
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred- CPOA or CPOT, and/or JCAHPO upon date of hire

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary$20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience and internal equity
