Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Laboratory Technician position will provide technical and administrative support. Responsibilities include the collection, processing, and documentation of urine and breath specimens, maintaining testing equipment, and performing equipment troubleshooting. The role requires maintaining FFD supplies, ensuring confidentiality, and complying with regulatory guidelines. Strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $18.20 - $20.86 Benefits: -

Responsibilities: - Provide technical and administrative support for the Fitness for Duty (FFD) program during Columbia Generating Station Outages.
- Collect, process, and document urine and breath specimens in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform analysis of breath samples and analyze data results.
- Maintain FFD equipment, conduct limited troubleshooting, and ensure proper operation and accuracy checks.
- Maintain necessary certifications for urine and breath alcohol testing under regulatory guidelines.
- Manage FFD collection and testing facility supplies, equipment, and record systems.
- Ensure strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrate effective communication and human relations skills.
- Exhibit strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Work effectively under critical deadlines and stressful conditions.
- Comply with background check requirements as outlined in regulatory guidelines.
Requirements: - High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be trainable in all aspects of specimen collection and processing for drugs and alcohol in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26 and Fitness for Duty Instructions.
- Proficiency in basic computer software packages, including MS Office; knowledge of advanced software may be required.
- Effective communication and human relations skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and various applications.
- Ability to work under critical deadlines and stressful conditions.
- Capability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to Columbia Generating Station.
