Job Description Summary

Work in multiple areas of the plant as assigned. Trim, inspect and sort defects from both raw and cooked product being processed and removes foreign material in potato production facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

• Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment as directed by plant policies and procedures.

• Must have the ability to work overtime as required.

• Must actively practice and abide by all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general hygiene regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.

• Removes foreign materials and non-standard product processing and packaging equipment as assigned.

• Trims defects from raw product, orients raw products in cutting equipment as assigned. Performs essential duties of pack base labor, as assigned. Inspects cooked product and records written information. Inspects raw products to ensure that it has been cut, cleaned and blanched, ready for final inspection.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk through the plant. The employee is required to have ample coordination to perform the essential functions of the job and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The employee works primarily in the plant environment, where the noise level is usually loud. This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $18.54
