The IT Professional Services Technician will play a key role in providing technical support, system implementation, and managed services to clients. This position focuses on delivering IT solutions such as infrastructure setup, software deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support to meet business needs. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy problem-solver with excellent communication and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Implementation:

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, firewalls, and security tools).
  • Deploy and integrate hardware and software solutions for clients.

Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for clients.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.
  • Monitor systems to ensure uptime, security, and performance.

Client Engagement:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
  • Provide user training and technical guidance on newly implemented solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Reporting
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of technical processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Generate regular reports on project progress, service tickets, and system performance.

Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IT projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware and software purchases or repairs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure service quality.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in IT support, professional services, or a similar role.
  • Experience with system installations, configurations, and troubleshooting in business environments.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall management.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with IT service management tools and remote monitoring systems.

Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Certifications (Preferred):
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift and move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.
  • Travel to client sites may be required.
